SO DARK THE CON OF MEN
Alas, the long-been-waited movie of the year is now being showned in selected cinemas here in the City of Love..(at least, was allowed to be showned with a R18 rating).
A year ago, when I first read the book, the thought of making it a movie had crossed my mind. I was thinkin of actors who will play the role of R.Langdon and S.Neveu,Sir Lee Tebing and Silas. And I wasn’t disappointed of their casting after all. It was really exhilarating. Dan Brown was a genius.

This post was kinda late already. due to busy schedule, I wasn’t able to make one.
I turned 19 last May 12,2006.
I was kinda discreet about it. It was, i think, past 1 in the morning of 5/12/06, we were at the Iloilo Mission Hospital Chapel having our grand case study presentation. I was thankful that noone questioned the patient’s hx that i made. Also, I was grateful that we were the 1st group to present so that I can still make my remaining requirements- NCP and druglist.
After our presentation, I sat at the back part of the chapel so that I wont get the attention of the ci’s. Especially my teacher, I dont want her to notice me that Im busy doin somethin while someone’s talkin in front. After a while, I heard James’ voice (Charles Legada) echoing in the whole chapel. Before he started the physical assessment presentation, he paused to say somethin on the microphone.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY lang gali kay Ms. Mayleen Magbiro."
(Pakkkkk!!!!! Pabinit!)
Oops! hahaha! And all eyes turned to my direction.
I was shocked to hear it. Hmm.. I wonder who told James. Could it be my mi amiga Ayie?^__^ my instinct tells me so..^_^
Anyway, I uttered a short prayer after the shift. Gosh! I have a lot of things to be thankful for. 19 years of living in this world with the most wonderful family, ever supportive friends, and best education…whew! I couldn’t ask for more.
And it also occured to me that I am already at the last stage of my teenage life. "NINEtEEn!"
I wish I could touch more human lives and make it a better one. I wish I could do a lot of good things in a limited time. I wish I will become a better person as time goes by. I wish I’ll have a longer life so that I can serve my purpose that He has given me.
I thank my parents who raised me up, so I can climb on mountains and walk on stormy seas… who provided me with the things I need to become a better, productive individual… to my sister who never gets tired of my laziness. I know I get insane sometimes. Thanks for the patience and for the additional sanity.hehe For my family in general, who gives me a reason to smile even if the world can sometimes be cruel. I miss you all.
Thank you for my friends who never get tired of me. Who always spare a lil time to listen to my drama chu-chu.. who never forget to text me once in a while even if I forgot to send a reply.
To my teachers who still mold me into a high-caliber nurse. Eventhough your teaching confuses me sometimes. hehe Thanks for the incident reports, scolds, and reprimands.. for keeping me in track and directing me to the right path when I lose sight of the way.
To the Lord God Almighty.. words arent enough to say what’s in my heart. For I know, before I open my mouth, you have already read what’s in my mind and heart. Thanks for embracing me with your divine hands. For the comfort and peace, Love and salvation. Trials and challenges. To you I bring back all the praise and glory.
To everyone who have become a part of me…
Thank you from the bottom of my hypothalamus.
